MARES
1) HICKALENA
-- 1998 Daughter of Doc's Hickory. Hickalena was acquired from Joe
Ayres. She was crippled at 10 days
of age when she was stepped on and her hind leg was broken high in her
hip. Her dam is the great Alethalena, one of the dozen full sisters
Joe Ayres produced by Freckles Playboy out of NCHA Futurity Champion, Lenaette.
Alethalena also produced Smarth Letha, the dam of Thomas
E Hughs, NCHA $331,240.00
and 2009 reserve Open World Champion at Ft. Worth in Dec, 2009. Alethalena
is a full sister to leading sires, Freckles Merada (deceased) and
Young Gun as well as some of the finest producers in the industry like
Shesa Playmate (dam of Shesa Smarty Lena – NCHA
$224,380.37); A Leanette (dam of Smart Play NCHA $409,204.17) Playboys
Mom, (dam of MR MOM DNA NCHA $224,234.00 -- NCHA World Champion gelding

STYLISH (NCHA $118,330.31; NCHA

She gets around very
well for a 3 legged horse but does need embryo transfers. We have
her 2009 bay roan filly sired by
Sweet Lil Pepto
(NCHA $235,000.00 and a leading sire), available for sale. She is
absolutely gorgeous! She also has a drop dead gorgeous 2009 brown colt
sired by Soula Jule Star (leading NRCHA sire). He is also available. She will
have an ET foal in 2010 by Pat Fitzgerald's great High Brow Cat son, Wild Haired
Cat, NCHA earner of $134,000.00.

SMART AND QUICK -- 2000 Daughter of Smart Little Lena. 'Broken Lena'
(as we call her) was also acquired from Joe Ayres. She had her neck
broken shortly after birth in a freak accident. The Veterinarians
wanted to put her down, but when Joe discovered that she had figured out
how to nurse with a neck broken in 2 places, he did not have the heart to
kill her. This mare gets around perfectly and can run, buck
and play with her head stuck out in front of her on a neck that is crooked
and completely immobile. She is more athletic than many horses
that are sound.
'Broken Lena' is also from
a very famous family that Joe had. Her dam is Quick O Lena, who also produced Freckles Quick Girl, the dam of Freckles Lena Boon (NCHA
$235,994.00) and several other notable producers. Click
HERE to see complete produce records for all of Quick O Lena's other daughters.
Smart And Quick produced a
really outstanding bay roan daughter in 2008 that is sired by leading
sire, Mecom Blue.
LENAS
BLUE WOLF is everything you could ask for in a prospect and
more. She is offered for sale.

FRECKLED STARLET -- 1992 Daughter of Freckles Merada. This lovely
mare dislocated her hip when she was young. Her dam is a
daughter of world Champion, Peppy's Desire and is a full sister to Genuine
Desire (dam of Desire Some Freckles NCHA $205,444.00) and several other
NCHA earners and producers. Click
here for a complete catalog style rundown on the female side of her
pedigree.
Freckled Starlet's 2006
son, Smart Freckled Star, sired by Smart Little Lena just advanced to the
2009 NCHA Futurity Semi Finals and earned $13,900.00. Owned by Bob Mayfield and
trained and shown by Tim Delagardelle, this outstanding colt was not
started under saddle until August of 2008. With less than a
year on cattle, he advanced to the Semi Finals with a 216.5 in the first
go round and a 213.5 in the second go round. He advanced with
a combined score of 430. He lost a cow in the Semi Finals so did not make the finals, but will now go back home to have his
training finished for the 2010 Super Stakes. Watch for him
there.
This pretty Merada daughter
just weaned a very nice 2009
sorrel filly by Mecom Blue. This filly is for
sale.
